Swiss Irontrail
GIVE IT YOUR ALL,EVERY TIME.
PERFECTLYPREPARED.
The top trail runner from the Lake District (UK) now lives in Edinburgh, where the Scottish mountains offer the perfect training conditions. As well as an incomparable feeling of freedom, her long runs in the mountains are bringing her trophies. Her achievements for 2012 include “overall winner” in class A at the Lowe AlpineMountain Marathon.
There couldn’t be any better preparation for the Swiss Irontrail. The international participants at the Mammut Testevent attended workshops on mountain safety and worked intensively on their preparations for the Irontrail 2012.
It was just a pity that the competition had to be called off due to icy precipitation and plummeting temperatures. However, all the competitors agreed. They would be back again in 2013 for another attempt to conquer the four modifi ed trails of between 201 and 41 km.

TRAIL RUNNINGTestevent: Motion Control on the Pers MoraineSwiss Irontrail: presented by Mammut
www.mammut.ch
Pushing their performance together in the last week of training before the Swiss Irontrail, testing the new Mammut trail running products and taking part in the photo shoot for the new trail running image. Out of the many applications received, fi fteen ambitious athletes were selected and kitted out with Mammut outfi ts.
One of the highlights was the photo shoot. Following Robert Bösch’s instruc-tions, the participants ran over the narrow trail on the Pers moraine, against the backdrop of the imposing Piz Palü. Luckily, the new photo was captured ingood time to tackle the descent over the glacier section. Exclusive preparation for the Swiss Irontrail and a unique experience for those who took part.

Abrasion-resistant Dyneema® fabric and Base Fit®
Rolling Concept® with gripex™ Sonar sole technology
TESTED ANDAPPROVED.
MTR 201 Dyneema®
MTR 201 Dyneema®
The ultimate trail running shoe. Tested and approved by top athlete Csaba Németh. It’s not just the athlete who needs to be able to stand the pace, the equipment needs to withstand a lot as well. The Dyneema® material used in the MTR 201 Dyneema® consists of polyethylene fi bers which are 60% more cut resistant than carbon fi ber and 15 times more tear resistant than steel. This ensures high resis-tance to abrasion, moisture and UV rays. The Rolling Concept® offers appropriate support and cushioning on specifi c areas of the foot, optimizes natural rolling behavior and reduces fatigue (risk of twisting the ankle). Developed according to orthopedic principles, the sole concept reduces the weight of the sole. The Sonar profi le allows maximum braking and impetus force as well as ideal edge stability.

swiss irontrail

Swiss irontrail: presented by mammut
www.mammut.ch
