BLUESHIFT TECHNICAL ENABLEMENT PORTAL Quick Start Guide
The Quick Start Guide is intended to provide you the basics of navigating Blueshift and allow
you to quickly start using the portal.

Requirements for Getting Started You must have an account to use Blueshift and you must be logged in to search for and
view assets as well as to make requests.
Existing HPSW Demo Portal (formerly STRATUS) users with a @microfocus.com based
account can use their existing credentials to login.
If you have an existing account and are unable to login or do not remember your password,
reset your password here.
You must have an existing account to reset your password.
Users without a @microfocus.com based HPSW Demo Portal (formerly STRATUS) account
should register here.
You must provide a business email address within a company domain. Generic email
addresses such as those ending in @outlook.com or @gmail.com will not be accepted and
will result in delay or rejection.

Getting Help Menu
If you need assistance, use the Support link in the main menu.
Chat
The Chat button is visible on every page of the portal. If Support is offline, you can still leave
a message and Support will contact you.
Finding What You Need
Quick Access from Main Menu
For a general search of available assets, use the Available Assets link on the Main menu.

You can select all assets in the catalogue or select one of three types: Downloadable, Shared
and Exclusive.
When the search results are returned, the search form will be displayed at the top. You can
refine your search or start a new one.
The following section covers the search form in more detail.
Available Offerings Search The Available Offerings search form is available on the Home page of the Blueshift portal as
well as the Available Offerings displays.
Search for offerings by Name, Type, Pillar and Date/Time.

Types
You can display all assets in the catalogue or filter by one of three types: Downloadable,
Shared and Exclusive.

You can display assets for all pillars or filter by one of the seven pillars displayed below.
Start and End Date/Time
Blueshift Time (UTC)
The Blueshift Time (UTC) button is visible on pages throughout the portal. Use it to
determine your local time. Blueshift uses UTC time. Click the button to expand it.
Modifying Date/Time
The easiest way to modify the default date/time values is to simply click in the input fields
and type the Date and Time you need.
You can also easily reset the defaults by hovering over the input field and clicking on the x.

For dates, you can click on the down arrow to display a calendar.
Finally, you can use the up and down arrows on each part of the date.

Search Results Example
You may see the following message at the top of the search results page. Most of the time
you can safely ignore the message if you have results and you see the offering you are
looking for.

If you are using the keyword search and choose an item from the dropdown, you may see
the following message.
Downloadable Assets
If you are requesting a downloadable assets, there will be no additional steps required in
Blueshift after you download your asset.

Requesting an Asset If you click on the Request button on an offering tile from your search results, you will be
taken to the Request form where you can complete your selection.
Make any final changes to Request Name, Provider, if that is an option, Start Time and
Expiration Time.

Click the Request button once you have made your final changes.
You will be prompted to confirm your request.
You can click on the Edit button to return to the Request form if you need to make changes.
You can cancel the request by clicking on the Remove button.
If your request is complete, Submit Request.
You will get acknowledgement that your request has been successfully submitted. The
acknowledgement contains your request number which will become your order number
when your request is completed. It also contains several links. You can view the details of
the request, view your request history, make another request or return to the front page.

You will also receive a confirmation email.
If you click to view the details of the request before you receive the email that the request is
complete, your request will indicate it that it is still being processed.

You will receive another email when your request is complete.
Accessing a Subscription You can use the view details of this request link or the My Orders link in the main menu to
access your completed order.
The Order page contains two main Sections: Offering and Subscription Details.
The Subscriptions section contains the following: Connection Information, Resource
Download, if available, and Advanced Details as highlighted in the following image.

Under the Offering section, you can access your order via link and you can set a date
reminder.
Under the Subscription Details section, you will find Connection Information, can Manage
Subscription and Connect to your servers. Click on the Manage Subscription button to Restart VPN
Servers, Create a Subscription Snapshot, Cancel the Subscription or Extend the Subscription.

Be sure to check the disclaimer or you will get an error message.
You will get a Success! Message if you request is submitted successfully.

There are also Actions you can take. You can Reboot Instance, Create Snapshot, Restore Snapshot
and Get VNC Console Link. Click the Execute button to take the Action.
Click on the Connect button to connect to your machine. You will be logged on automatically.

Advanced Details
Under Advanced Details, you will find additional global information and individual host information
details as highlighted in the image that follows. You can also Manage your Subscription and
Connect from this area.

My Orders Overview Search
You can access My Orders from the main Menu. You can search for Orders by State, Number of
Days, Request Name and Order Number.
