Value of the Month

LOVE 爱

• Love forms the basis of Humanity.

• It refers to a deep concern for others within the community. True love is when one has a pure and selfless heart for others within the society and lives this out in action through the giving of oneself to others.

Value in Action• We can live out the value of ‘Love’ by simply

bringing a smile to someone’s face.

• Each of you, including your Form Teachers,

will be making 2 origami hearts.

LOVE 爱•For your first origami heart, you will keep it as a

physical reminder for you to ‘LOVE’ those around

you, especially those in need.

• On this origami heart, write a pledge you would like

to make to show your love to someone/others.

E.g. “I pledge to show care and concern to a

classmate who’s feeling down.” or

“I pledge to show my love to my mother by ______.”

Your PledgeYou can keep this origami heart inside your wallet

as a New Year resolution on how you’d like to show

‘love’ to others.

Nobody else will see what you have written so it can

be something very personal and close to your heart.

LOVE 爱•On the second origami heart, write a message of

love to the elderly of the old folk’s home that

your class is going to visit (for VIA). You can

write in CL too.

• Paste all the origami hearts on the board

provided to form a class collage of love for the

elderly.
