Value

In many parts of the world, bread is considered a key nutritional necessity.

Origin: Spain, "salt bread"Culture: Philippines

Example: Pandesal

Some of the most difficult challenges poor countries face in their efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals include poor

starting conditions, weak governance and institutions, conflict and instability, and

environmental degradation.

Challenges

Agriculture plays a critical role in meeting these challenges, especially

cereals.

As the price of food including bread rises,

more people worldwide go hungry.

Rising Prices

Hunger Around the World

In developing countries, 91 children out of 1,000 die before their fifth birthday.

By comparison, around the world eight children in 1,000 will die before turning five years old.

To feed the hungry kids of the world, we propose a campaign to create a project on Kickstarter where people can donate a loaf (its equivalent) or more.

Campaign: One Loaf of Bread

We will use the money to sponsor projects all over the world that are seeking to help feed the hungry,

not just by giving the loaf but by creating a sustainable source for them.

You Can!...Help Reduce Hunger

One Loaf of Bread

Each project we sponsor must:

● Show us how it will be sustainable

● Not require more funding to keep the project alive

● Show us how subsequently it will help its beneficiaries be sustainable as well.
