Because the authors of these books are Lisu Christian leaders, and write in Lisu, thesebooks have more cultural focus and relevance than books originating in other cultures andplaces might have. That adds to their effectiveness.

Commentary on Ephesians - Thaefunaa Nopha began in ministry with J. Russell andGertrude Morse in north Myanmar. With over 60 years in ministry, he is highly regardedamong the believers. The book was digitized from handwritten notes that he used in manyBible Schools through the years. He can not travel by foot to the Lisu in China anymore, sothis book will be especially appreciated there.

Christian Etiquette and Conduct - Joshua Lee’s book aims to help Bible students be betterprepared and able in their presentations when they go out to preach the Gospel. It is thefirst “preacher’s handbook,” full of good advice for new and old evangelists alike. It will beused in Bible Schools and by church leaders in Thailand, Myanmar, and China.

The Christian Family - This book, also by Joshua Lee, addresses issues that many Lisufamilies are facing in their changing world. Christian families have to deal with no longerplanting opium, for example, with learning new skills, working in towns without thetraditional village support. It touches on building relationships within the family, raisingchildren, handling outside influence from public schools, drug use, roles of husband andwife, and Bible morals and values. The book is popular in the Bible Schools and short-termBible study groups.
