AUCTIONEERS CONDITIONS OF SALE

The stock will be sold in euro guineas i.e. each bid is €1.05 and VAT at livestock rate will be charged

on the .05 regulated by the Auctioneers

The highest bidder to be the buyer, and if any dispute shall arise, the lot in dispute to be put up again

and re-sold, or the Auctioneers may declare the purchaser at their discretion and their decision shall

be final. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse the bid of any person without being called upon

to give a reason for such action.

All lots to be paid for at the close of the sale. No lot or lots shall be removed from the sale premises

until paid for and a pass-out slip obtained from the Auctioneer’s clerk, but each and every lot shall im-

mediately at the fall of the hammer be considered as delivered, and be and remain in every respect

at the absolute risk of the respective purchaser or purchasers there of, and shall be removed from the

Sale premises at the purchaser’s expense. Loading shall be the duty and responsibility of the pur-

chaser.

The purchaser to give his name and dwelling place, and to remove the stock immediately after the

sale.

Every care has been taken in the compilation of this catalogue but no responsibility is taken by the

Auctioneers for any error appearing therein or in regard to the qualification of the animals and all pur-

chasers must be on this distinct understanding.

All statements in the catalogue or any made by the Auctioneers at the time of sale, also the identifica-

tion of the animals, are the entire responsibility of the Vendors. The Auctioneers take no personal re-

sponsibility for the correctness of such statements or identities.

The Auctioneers act as Agents for the Vendors and any action taken by a purchaser must be against

the Vendor and not against the Auctioneers, and “vice versa”.

Neither the Auctioneers nor the Vendors will be responsible for any accident through fire or any other

cause whatsoever; nor for any damage done by animals prior to, during or after the sale.

If any of these conditions are unfilfilled, the Vendors or the Auctioneers shall have power to re-sell the

lot or lots concerned, retaining any surplus and charging any deficiency to the defaulter.

FOREWORDWelcome to the 32nd LISDUFF SALE of calved and in-calf heifers.

This is the most exciting time in dairy farming in Ireland for a generation. As we approach the end ofthe quota regime (155 days left at Sale day) there is a sense of liberation approaching when animalsthat are bred to produce high yields and to be profitable will be able to fully exploit their genetic ability.These are the type of animals bred at LISDUFF. Their willingness to milk coupled with outstandingconformation ( 57 cows were classified EXCELLENT and 89 VG in the 2013 inspections) has resultedin over 70 EXCELLENT and 120 VG cows in the Herd in 2014.

This year the first member of the ZANDRA family will be offered for sale(Lot 11). Her dam is one ofthree full sisters, by WINDY-KNOLL VIEW PRONTO and out of MORSAN DURHAM ZIN-DRA VG,imported as embryos from the USA . All three are now in their 3rd lactations and all threeare classified EXCELLENT. The rock-solid SASHA, LESLIE, MARY, DAIRYBREIZ, ELLENand other families have members in the sale that look set to continue the legacy of these great families.

The calved heifers are a well developed group of animals displaying very correct udders and aremilking extremely well. There are some really good SPOOKY and GOMEZ LEE DAUGHTERSfor sale.

There is an exceptional group of January/February calving heifers on offer this year ALL OF WHICHARE IN-CALF TO FEMALE SEXED SEMEN. It will include the Herd’s first daughters of CO-GENT TWIST (UK) , CORDES-MAID STONEWALL (USA) and GUARINI (Germany). Rec-ommended for your special attention are:
