(marriedcouples,singlemenandsinglewomen,and
manyothers)andshareamessageofmissiononthe
importanceofservingfamilies.(Inordertohaveas
manypeopleaspossiblegiveinput,aquestionnairealso
wentoutfromtheHolyFatheranumberofmonthsago
askingCatholicstosharetheirconcerns,experiences
andwisdomabout“family.”Ourparishionerswere
askedatthetimetolookatthePope’squestionnaireon
theinternetandtosendintheirresponsesbye�mail.

“family,”andtheywrappedupthispartofthesynodlast
weekend.�
AttheconclusionoftheSynod,theBishopsvotedona
numberofissuesrelatingtofamily,someofwhichyou
haveseeninthemediaoverthepastweek.Later,an
“action”documentwillbecomingfromtheof�iceofour
HolyFathercoveringawiderangeoftopicsrelatedto
!"#$%&.TheChurch’steachingswillbehighlighted���a
messagewillbesharedonhowtoconcretelyandpasto-
rallyliveandapplythoseteachingsto‘wherepeopleare
at.’IftheHolyFatherandtheBishopsmaybedidn’t
knowthestrugglesoffamiliesbefore,theyde7initelydo
now,becauseoftheexperienceoftheSynod.Theirin-
tentisneithertoscoldpeoplenortodemandimperson-
alallegiancetotheteachingsoftheChurch,butratherto
meetfamilieswheretheyareat.Ifpeopleareexpecting
theteachingsoftheChurchtochange,theywillbedis-
appointed,butthereisstilltheconcreteapplicationof
justiceandmercythathavetobeappliedandusedin

HopefullyduringthesecondweekofNovembertheJudgewhohasbeenhandlingtheMilwaukeeArchdioceseBankrupt-cyCase,whichhasgoneonforalmost�iveyears,willrulethatthebankruptcyisover.AtthattimesheisexpectedtorulethattheChapter11ReorganizationPlanproposedbytheMil-waukeeArchdiocese,andacceptedbythecreditorsgroup(victims),shouldbeimplemented.�
AlthoughnoArchdiocesanCatholicStewardshipmoniesover
thepast�iveyearsoratanyothertimehavebeenpartofthis
bankruptcycase,Ihaveheardanumberofpeopleexpress
thattheywerenotcontributingtotheCSAbecausetheydid-
n’tbelievethattheArchdiocese,thecreditorsandthejudge
weretellingthetruth.They����tellingthetruth!�
