The District Advisory Council, by the very nature of its name, will advise the Board of Education of the Conejo Valley Unified School District on matters related to educational programs, policies, procedures, and consider actions as requested. The District Advisory Council will establish and maintain intra district communications, encourage the sharing of needs, accomplishments and activities in order to support a high quality school system.

As stated in by-laws, committee representation is selected by DAC Chair and Executive Board. In order to promote the participation of as many District Advisory Council representatives as possible in committee work, representatives are encouraged to serve on only one committee at a time.

• Vote = Voice• Each school may cast one vote on each matter submitted• Decisions shall be made by a simple majority of those present entitled to vote• Any vote on a major issue such as funds, policy, etc., shall be by roll call
