➤ document anything that stands out or feels inappropriate, unusual or alarming

➤ screen clients first using the “Client Questionnaire” ➤ look for :

➤ serious mental and/or emotional problems or suicide risk➤ substance abuse➤ anything illegal or suggestive of violence to client or others

➤ 3 things you can do:➤ cease the coaching relationship ➤ report to proper authorities if needed➤ refer out to other professionals

➤ trust your instincts and don’t take on high risk clients
