Bookmobile Library Services Evaluation

Bookmobile Library Services’ EvaluationSTUDENTS’ SUGGESTIONS

1. What did you like in the Mobile library?• The Bookmobile is very ideal and we were motivated to read because the books are new and interesting• Good idea because we don’t have that collection in the library• We don’t have a library• Our library have textbooks not that kind of collection• the story books• The picture books collection

Suggestions for improvement (verbatim):

2. What did you dislike in the Mobile library?• The duration of one month is very short for

the students to develop that reading habits• Mastery in the skill of reading was short

since we didn’t have enough time to keep/borrow the books with us

• Sometimes the teachers don’t bring us to that room where the bookmobile is kept

• We were not given enough time to read• We can’t bring it home

Suggestions for improvement (verbatim):

3. What are your suggestions to improve the Mobile library?• more time given by the teacher to read those books• more time to spend• more books for kids• hope we can borrow the books at home• more time to read

Suggestions for improvement (verbatim):

Bookmobile Library Services’ EvaluationDISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION

• Most of the students were really interested in the project especially the books• Drawback = limited time for the loaning period & the teachers’ prerogative to let students read and borrow• The existing three (3) units of Mobile library are not enough• The project’s possibilities of expansions are already in process.

Discussion and Conclusion:

Given that DLSZ library is a vital partner in academic services, it is recommended that such evaluation must be accomplished regularly to assess the needs of the students

Discussion and Conclusion:

The school beneficiaries must maintain a logbook for the students who borrowed and returned from and to the Bookmobile

Discussion and Conclusion:

The Bookmobile has awakened the desire of students to read and has somehow enhanced their reading and comprehension skills

Discussion and Conclusion:

The genuine love for reading developed among the pupils in the public schools is already a great achievement on the part of the principal in the school and the DLSZ librarians.

Discussion and Conclusion:
