LevelIInfraredThermographyTrainingGeneralThermographyApplicationsInfraredthermalimagingprovidesameansforperceivingthephysicalworldinusefulwaysacrossawiderangeofapplications.LevelIthermographytrainingprovidesthefundamentalinformationandclassroomexperiencenecessarytopreparethestudentforapplyinginfraredthermographyintheirworkandtotheirapplications.Akeyconcepttaughtintheclassislearningtothinklikeathermalcameraseessothatstudentscanunderstandandexplainwhyathermalimageappearsasitdoes.Insupportofdevelopingthesefoundationalskills,this32hourtrainingcourseemploysacombinationoflectures,demonstrations,andhands-onlabexperiments,aswellasquizzesandreviewstotestunderstanding.Thetrainingconcludeswithanoverallcoursereviewandexaminations.

InLevelItraining,oneoftheaimsistopreparethestudenttobesuccessfulwithmakingmeasurementsandtohelpthemunderstandthecapabilitiesandlimitationsoftheirinfraredthermographytoolsandknowledge.Thecoursecoversbasicheattransfertheoryandthetheoryandapplicationsofinfraredthermographyincluding:buildingenvelopeandroofs,conditioninspectionofelectricalandmechanicalequipment,andnon-destructivetestingofmaterials.Studentsarechallengeddailywithhandsondemonstrations,experimentsandinspectionsituationssimilartothosetheywillexperienceintheirwork.Thisclassemphasizesqualitativethermographytechniquesandhowtocollectdatafollowingprovenandpublishedinspectionprocedures.Uponcompletion,studentswillbeabletocaptureclearthermogramsandmakebasicinferencesanddiagnosis.

ThiscoursefullymeetstheeducationalrequirementsforcertificationaccordingtothepublishedrecommendationsofASNT.ThecoursemayalsobeeligibleforContinuingEducationUnit(CEU)credit.PleasecontactFoxRiverSystemswithyourCEUrequirementsandapplicableagencycontactssothatwecanapplyandrequestourtrainingclassesbeeligibleforCEUcredit.

PartFive(4hours)• Reports,routes,andprioritizingfindings• Coursewrap-upandreview• CourseexaminationsCERTIFICATION:Studentsareonlyrequiredtotakethegeneralexamtosuccessfullythecourse.Additionally,studentswillhavetheopportunitytotakeathree-partcertificationexaminationconsistingoftwowrittenportionsandapracticalwhereyoumustshowproficiencywithyourinfraredcamera.The40questiongeneralexamwillevaluateyourgeneralknowledgeininfraredtheoryandmainstreamapplications.ThespecificexamwillbebasedonacceptedAZSTM,ISO,NFPA,NETA,IEEE,OSHA,EPRI,andBINDTmethodologies.Thepracticalexamwillallowyoutoproveyouhavetheskillsnecessarytoperformtestinginthefield.Intheabsenceofhavingwrittenprocedures,eachstudentwillbeofferedasummaryoftheapplicablestandardsthatappliestoyourwork.YouwillalsobeofferedasampleWrittenPractice,asuggestedguidelineonhowtoorganizeandmanageacertificationprogramforyourcompany.Itisastraightforwarddocumentandprocesstosetupaprogram,butithascriticalimportanceindescribingtheeducationalexperienceandtestingrequirementsforcertificationforyourorganization.Aspartofthecoursefee,wewillhelpyouputameaningfulandeffectivewrittenpracticeinplace.
