ABC Reading Eggs for Lower Primary
Students learn how to decode words into sounds and encode sounds into words when they write and spell. Each lesson ends with a book matched to their current ability, letting them put their phonics skills into action. Each lesson focuses on a single sound-letter combination, including a wide range of interactive activities designed specifically to teach phonics skills.
Phonics
Your students will be introduced to new words throughout ABC Reading Eggs lessons, with visual supports to provide context and boost retention levels. Over 2,000 eBooks organised by reading level and age to encourage independent reading, including read aloud options allowing students to hear correct pronunciation of words.
Vocabulary
When students are ready to move from the basics of reading to comprehension, ABC Reading Eggs is ready. Scaffolded activities build your students’ skills and understanding with a wide range of pre-reading activities to ignite their thinking. My Program consists of books that build comprehension skills by providing a large number of interesting texts at the right reading level.

The Reading Eggspress Library has over 2,000 eBooks on its shelves. With a huge selection of fiction and non-fiction titles, your students can read up on everything from Antarctica to Zoo Animals, perfect for cross-curricula coverage. New teacher tools allow you to assign books or lessons to individuals, groups or a whole class! Books meet age-specific text complexity demands for all students and engaging, levelled questions for each book to assess reading comprehension.

The Stepping Stones Reading lessons are the core of the ABC Reading Eggs learn-to-read program.
