Unit: 11 Research project

This unit is assessed by a Pearson-set assignment

Students will choose their own project based on a theme providedby Pearson (this will change annually)

The project must be related to their specialist pathway of study(unless the student is studying the general business pathway)

This will enable students to explore and examine a relevant andcurrent topical aspect of business in the context of the businessenvironment and their chosen specialist pathway

Module background

The unit enables students to demonstrate thecapacity and ability to identify a research theme,to develop research aims, objectives andoutcomes, and to present the outcomes of suchresearch in both written and verbal formats.

The unit also encourages students to reflect on theirengagement in the research process during whichrecommendations for future, personal developmentare key learning points

Module background

On successful completion of this unit students willhave the confidence to engage in problem-solvingand research activities which are part of thefunction of a manager.

Students will have the fundamental knowledgeand skills to enable them to investigate workplaceissues and problems, determine appropriatesolutions and present evidence to variousstakeholders in an acceptable andunderstandable format
