What is a Chart?

A  chart  is  a  graphical  representation of  information.

Information presented in tabular form.

Diagram, Picture, Image Representation of numbers

Why Charts?

Easy for interpretation of large amounts of numbers

Compact a lot of information in small area

Make room for easy inference/ conclusion

Can allow for predictions

Charting is not straight forward...

Many  types  of  charts  that  are

Line Graphs

A line graph is a way to summarize how different pieces of information are related and how they vary depending on one another.

The numbers along a side of the line graph are called the scale
