Hirer’s Responsibility
It is the hirer’s responsibility to
ensure the provision of the
following in all contracts:
– Fuel
– Regular Vehicle Checks (oil, tyre
pressure, depth of tread and
condition, anti-freeze, etc)
– Valeting and parking
– Motor Insurance for duration of
the contract hire
– Parking, Congestion Charge and
Traffic Offence Fines
– Mechanical Repair Costs
resulting from neglect or misuse
– Vehicle serviced at
manufacturer’s recommended
intervals
– MOT Tests
Servicing and repairs
All maintenance work, including
replacement tyres, batteries and
exhausts must be carried out by
a dealer approved by Leasys.
The Warranty and Services booklet
delivered with your vehicle needs to
be stamped by the servicing dealer
each time a service is carried out on
the vehicle for warranty purposes.
Full details of the servicing schedule
are contained in the Vehicle
Handbook supplied with the vehicle.
If your contract includes a
maintenance package, we will

suspension and electrical repairs
except those caused by neglect or
misuse. Please telephone us on

need to contact us for authorisation
before starting any work.
Tyres
Replacement of tyres due to fair
wear and tear is included within
a full maintenance contract.
The legal minimum tyre tread is
1.6mm – however, we allow
replacement at 2.0mm. If a tyre
is damaged due to a puncture
or driver abuse, a charge will
be levied by Leasys based on
the unused tread remaining.
MOT Tests MOT Tests need to be carried out
2-4 weeks before the due date so
that we have the certificate in good
time to re-licence your vehicle.
It is important that you only use the
company recommended by us
before fitting replacement tyres,
batteries or exhausts.
GAP Waiver
This covers the early termination
cost (40% of outstanding rentals) in
the event of an insurance write-off.
Any insurance shortfall must be
covered by you.
Penalty/parking fines and congestion charges
Please settle any fixed penalty or
parking fines promptly. If you do
not settle within the required
period, Leasys will pay the
amount due and recharge it to
your account, together with an
admin charge.
Road tax
The cost of the Road Fund
Licence is included in your
contract and Leasys will renew
this automatically during your
contract.
Foreign travel
Please call Leasys on 0344 561
4611 (option 1 / option 2) for the
necessary documents and
information.
Before taking your car overseas
please ensure you obtain a letter
of authority ‘Form VE103’ from us
(because we are the registered
keepers). Please apply at least
14 days before the date of travel
providing your name, registration
number, destination, departure
and return date. You must inform
your insurance company or your
company’s insurance department
to arrange adequate insurance
cover for the country you intend
to visit.
Accessories
Additional accessories may be
fitted. However, damage resulting
from their removal at the end of the
contract may be recharged.
Cherished number plates
Leasys can transfer cherished
numbers and take care of all
documentation. please call

for further information.
For the full terms and conditions,
please refer to your contract hire
agreement.
Buying your car
Providing you are not the hirer or
leaser named in the agreement
and your company permits you to
do so, you may be able to purchase
the vehicle. We will be pleased to
give you or a member of your
family or colleague a purchase
price. Please email
usedvehiclepurchases@leasys.com
quoting your registration number
and current mileage. Please be
aware that the vehicle will be sold
without warranty, unless specified
otherwise.
Customer information and data protection
You consent to us disclosing details
of your application and how you
conduct your account (including
any default) to the Credit Reference
and Fraud Prevention Agencies.
This information may be used to
help us and other organisations (a)
to assess the financial risks of
dealing with you and other
members of your household, (b) to
help make decisions on motor,
household, credit, life and other
insurance proposals and insurance
claims, (c) to administer agreements
and insurance policies with you, (d)
to help prevent or detect fraud,
prevent money laundering or other
crimes, recover debts and trace
debtors, and (e) for statistical
analysis about credit insurance
and fraud.

Personal records
You have a right to access
personal records held by us on
computer files. If you wish to see
this information, please write to the
Data Protection Officer at the
address overleaf.
Customers who regularly
check their vehicle against these
standards and take action as
necessary will help to ensure
that the end of contract process
runs smoothly.
Leasys will remind you of these
standards 3 months prior to the
end of the contract or on request
for early termination to ensure the
smooth collection and closure of
account. At this point Leasys
would be happy to provide a
quotation for a new vehicle from
any of our group brands. Please

Please ensure that the service
book is fully completed with a valid
MOT certificate in place and
returned along with all keys.

BVRLA’s conciliation process to resolve
the issue. Details of your complaint

Support services and default charges
The company reserves the right to

£13.20 (inc. VAT)
These charges are subject to
variation and a copy of any
subsequent variation is available
on request.
Vehicle returns standards
Leasys adheres to the BVRLA
code of conduct and applies the
‘Fair Wear and Tear Standard’ to
all its vehicle returns.
You can access these standards at
www.leasys.com; we encourage
all customers to take note of these
standards to understand what is
expected when returning their
vehicle. If you wish to find out
more information in the interim
