LEARN-WISE TRAINING: ARTICULATE STORYLINE
FEATURES OF ARTICULATE STORYLINE
Articulate Storyline is a software solution specifically built for creating eLearning courses. It is a great tool for authoring training
modules, and is compatible with Learn-Wise. There are some great features available in Articulate that are not available in other
standard software you may have available to you, such as PowerPoint or Google Slides.
Add quiz questions
Add audio, video, and flash content
Add interactive content that allows users to engage actively in the module
Insert characters
Record your screen
Import a PowerPoint
SPECIFICATIONS FOR UPLOADING TO LEARN-WISE
PRIOR TO UPLOADING YOUR STORY TO LEARN-WISE, YOU MUST ADD A RESULTS SLIDE AS THE LAST SLIDE OF YOUR
MODULE
Insert > New Slide > Quizzing > Result Slides
If there is no result slide, the content will work and you will be able to take the quiz but the results will not be reported to LMS as
Pass or Fail.
Publishing in Articulate:
Go to the LMS tab > Output Options
Reporting & Tracking
o Reporting: SCORM 1.2 (currently supported)
o Tracking: Track using quiz result
LMS Reporting
o Pass/Fail, Pass/Incomplete, Complete/Fail, Complete/Incomplete
o In Learn-Wise Reports it always shows up as Pass or Fail no matter which one is selected.
o Moving forward when you want to track using the number of slides, then complete/incomplete will be
implemented. That is a new implementation in September build.
How to publish articulate SCORM content in an LMS:
http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/publishing-a-project-for-lms.aspx
After Publishing, you can save it as a .zip file on your computer and use it in your modules (click Yes for SCORM content when
creating a Training Module).
NOTES
If you choose to include an eSignature, it only comes up if the Trainee passes the module. If they fail the module, no
eSignature prompt pops up. This is by design, as we do not need verification when the user fails.
When the Trainee successfully completes the module and registers an eSignature, the module will automatically take the
Trainee back to the last screen of the module. The trainee will then have to manually exit the module by closing the popup
window. Their score will still register in the system.
o You can configure these settings by adding buttons in the Articulate story and setting triggers. Buttons can be
inserted as web objects that will allow the Trainee to close the window if they click “Finish”, for example.
