Lazy Eights

Draw a figure of

eight on its side in

front of your body.

Ensure you cross

both sides of your

body!

Increase visual awareness and eye mobility needed for reading.

Lift your left knee to

meet your right

elbow. Make sure the

elbow and knee meet

across the body.

Cross Crawl

Good for spelling, reading, listening and writing by using both sides of

the brain.

Hook Ups

Improve mood and reduce anxiety.

Stand up and cross your

right ankle over your

left.

Place your right hand

on top of your left and

roll your wrist into your

chest and out again.

The Elephant

Activates all areas of the body and mind.

Place the left ear on your

left shoulder. Extend your

arm out to the side. With

your other hand draw the

infinity sign (cross fish)

making sure you cross both

sides of your body.

Energy Yawn

Relieves stress.

Simply use your hands to

massage your cheeks whilst

making a yawn action.

Especially at the join with

your jaw.

Names in the Air

Good for handwriting.

Simply write your name

in the air using your

finger (use your writing

hand)

Brain Buttons

Increases blood flow to the brain.

Use your thumb and index

finger to massage your

sternum.

With your other hand rub

your tummy then swap

hands.

Swirly

Helps writing and letter formation.

Draw a swirl with

your right hand and

then your left. When

able, do them both at

the same time.

Active Arm

Helps writing and letter formation.

Put your arm above

your head and hold it

with the other hand.

Stretch and then

release.

Shoulder Brush

Increase visual awareness and eye mobility needed for reading.

Brush your shoulder

and move to the other

shoulder by drawing

a figure of eight.

Step Touch

Step to the side and tap

the foot across the other

foot.

Back the other way.

Increases blood flow to the brain and concentration.

Gravitational Glider

Helps maths problem solving and abstract thinking.

Sit down on a chair and

cross over your legs.

Gently lean down to

touch your feet with

both of your hands.

Bend and Reach

Stand with your legs

slightly apart. Bend

down and tap your left

foot with your right

hand.

Repeat on other side.

Increases blood flow to the brain and concentration.

Roller

Roll your hands in front

of you one way and

then back the other

way.

Helps concentration and attention span.

Cross Cross

Cross over your legs and

your arms and repeat.

Encourages both sides of the brain to work together.
