cndv landscape architects is a vibrant Cape Town based firm committed to

innovative design excellence in the fields of landscape architecture, industrial and

product design. The original firm was formed in 1988 and has a 30 year track record

in the industry.

cndv landscape architects has developed a reputation as being one of South

Africa's foremost design firms and is considered a specialist in the field of landscape

architecture, embracing a full range of expertise and boasting a team of highly

B L.Arch (University of Pretoria, Honours for Design)

Tanya grew up in Northern Natal. She completed her studies at Pretoria

University and joined CNdV africa in 1999 as a director in charge of landscape

architecture.

She is past chairperson of the ILASA (Institute of Landscape Architects of South

Africa) – Cape, served on the SACLAP (South African Council of the Landscape

Architectural Profession), lectured at Peninsula Technikon and is an occasional

guest lecturer and external examiner at UCT and UP.

Tanya has won numerous prestigious awards in the field of landscape

architecture.

Many of these projects have been featured in publications, locally and

internationally, including the World Landscape Design Top 50 Projects and

numerous Braun publications.

With more than twenty years’ experience in the field of landscape architecture,

Tanya has a thorough knowledge of working as part of an interdisciplinary

team and is able to take responsibility for the design and co-ordination of a

large variety of projects.

directorProfessional Landscape Architect

B L.Arch (University of Pretoria)

Herman joined CNdV africa in 2012. He graduated from the University of

Pretoria in 2001. With more than 16 years professional experience in landscape

architecture, Herman has an excellent knowledge of the full spectrum of

responsibilities from concept development through design and tender

processes to project coordination.

From 2002 to 2011 Herman worked at Uys & White Landscape Architects in

KwaZulu Natal and was involved in numerous local and international projects

such as the King George V Hospital in Durban and the Mbombela Multi-

purpose Sport Stadium in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.

In 2011 Herman relocated to Cape Town and worked as a Senior Landscape

Architect at Viridian Consulting Landscape Architects and Environmental

Planners.

Herman has served on the ILASA (Institute for Landscape Architecture in South

Africa) National Executive Committee (2008-2013), was the Secretary for IFLA

(International Federation of Landscape Architects) - Africa (2012-2013), was a

Local Organising Committee Member for the 2012 IFLA Congress and is past

President of ILASA (2011-2013).

Herman is also an occasional guest lecturer at the University of Cape Town.

mohammed chohansenior technician

Mohammed joined CNdV in 2014. He has over 10 years experience working as

an architectural draughtman in Durban. Having worked at T.D.S and Uys &

White in Ballito, he was involved in numerous local and international projects.

Mohammed is SACAP, SAID and ILASA registered, and is responsible for doing

presentations, CAD drawings and general technical back-up.

sinikiwe “juju” jujujulandscape technologist

Juju joined the firm in 2011. He completed a diploma in Multidisciplinary

Draughting Office Practice at the College of Cape Town. He gained

experience working for Arcus Gibb Engineering as a multidisciplinary

draughtsman as well as completing some free lance projects. Juju completed

his B.Tech at CPUT and is responsible for doing presentations, CAD and

general technical back-up.

ikraam arendsecad technician / landscape technician

Ikraam joined the firm in 2013. He gained experience working for Mike

Hurworth & Associates Engineers as a structural draughtsman as well as

completing some free lance projects. Ikraam is responsible for CAD drawings,

3D work and general technical back-up.

celina fernandesfinancial- & office manager

Celina joined CNdV in 2014. She has a diploma in bookkeeping as well asinterior design. Celina specilaises in integrating creative- and financialprocesses as well as implementing office management systems. She hasextensive experience in the architectural-, advertising-, interior design- andinsurance sectors and has worked in the UK, Italy and South Africa.
