Criteria for Judging

• There will be six (6) groups of contestants: 5 from each year level and 5 from the Non-Formal Education (NFE).

• Spelling words are pooled from all subject areas where English is the medium of instruction.

Criteria for Judging

• There will be three (3) categories: Easy, Average, and Difficult. Ten words from each category will be dictated twice and used in a sentence. Ten seconds will be allotted for contestants to spell the given word.

Criteria for Judging

• Contestants will be allotted 10, 20, and 30 seconds to spell each word in the Easy, Average and Difficult Category, respectively.

Criteria for Judging

• Easy words are allotted 1 point, Average words 3 points and Difficult words 5 points.

• The top three teams will be declared first, second and third place respectively.

Criteria for Judging

• In case of a tie, three (3) Clincher Questions will be given; the team who gets two out of three questions will be declared the winner.
