ARCHDIOCESAN CONSECRATION TO ST. JOSEPH
Date(s): Tuesday, December 8 (Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception) Time: 7 p.m. Location: Cathedral of Saint Paul (Also Livestreamed on Facebook) This Mass will joyfully open the Year of St Joseph on December 8, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of America. Following Mass, Archbishop Hebda will lead the formal Consecration to St Joseph of the Archdio-cese. COVID-19 protocols will be observed for those in attendance, and the event will be livestreamed. The lay faithful are invited to join Archbishop Hebda and Bishop Cozzens in preparing for our Archdiocesan Year of St. Joseph, with a 33-day preparation period, which began Friday, Novem-ber 6.
This year the St. John Vianney "Christmas Giving Tree" benefitting Neigh-bors, Inc. will take on a different look. We will be collecting monetary donations and passing them on to Neighbors, Inc. so they will be able to purchase specific items for families and seniors requesting assistance. An envelope for Neighbors was in last week’s bulletin and can be returned
at Mass the weekends of November 21-22 and 28-29. Or, if you prefer, you can mail directly to Neighbors. Thank you very much for your continued support.
The office will be closed on Thursday, November 26th & Friday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving holiday. Please make a note of it. If you have a pastoral emergency, please contact Jill at 651-248-2300. Thank you.
Archdiocesan Day of Prayer & Fasting Against the Sin of Racism
Date(s): Wednesday, December 2 Time: Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Location: Cathedral of Saint Paul, St. Paul (Also Livestreamed via the Cathedral’s Facebook page) Individuals and families, parishes, schools, and institutions are encouraged to observe the day in whatever way they determine fitting. See suggestions below. The prayer service at the Cathedral will be celebrated by Archbishop Hebda and feature guest homilist Fr. Prentice Tipton, rector of the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption in Saginaw, MI. Participate in the 7 p.m. prayer service either socially distanced in person (maximum of 250 in attendance), or virtually via the Cathedral’s Facebook page.
Suggestions from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops for observing a day of prayer and fasting include: • Attending the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and offering your participation in reparation for
sins of racism to the Sacred Heart of Jesus • Praying the rosary, the USCCB’s Prayer Service for Racial Healing, and for the interces-
sion of the saints who have fought for racial equality such as St. Katharine Drexel and St. Peter Claver

IRA CHARITABLE ROLLOVER: On December 18th, 2015, a law was signed that permanently makes the IRA Charitable Rollover available. This rollover does not expire & allows donors 70 ½ or older to make charitable contribution directly from their IRA. For more information, please call the office at 651-451-1863.
Have you considered your stewardship through EFT’s?
EFTs are one way to make contributions consistent, no hassle with filling out a check along with saving a tree! No paper envelopes. It is very simple.
Fill out a form from the Parish Office, decide how much and when you contribution is taken from your bank account and into SJV’s bank account. With a voided check, we submit the info& you are done. No worry about forgetting your envelope at home or what you wrote your check amount for, SJV’s bank & yours keep track of that. Call us today,
WATCH MASS FROM SJV!
SJV is happy to announce that there are 3 ways you can join us in Mass and make a spiritual communion while we are still under modified quarantine.
If you need help with any of these options please call Jill at the office at 651-451-1863 or on her cell phone at 651-248-2300 and she will walk you through the process. Thank you.
