A Message from Mr. Williams

Sometimes a good quote can help guide us when things may be difficult or not so clear. The following quote is from Franklin Delano Roosevelt who was our President through the Great Depression and World War II, some of our country's most difficult times . He also suffered from debilitating aspects of polio which left him wheelchair bound throughout his Presidency. This quote has always stuck with me and has helped me at times in my own life. Being a President is a stressful job, let alone being disabled and guiding the country through a difficult time. If you want, let him be an example of thriving through life despite what it throws at you.

National Find a Rainbow Day We have had some perfect weather this week

for finding rainbows. See if you can find one today.

Facts

Rainbows form when light is bent and re-

flected through water droplets or a prism.

According to Isaac Newton, a rainbow is

made of these colors—red, orange, yellow,

green, blue, indigo, and violet—ROY G BIV.

Mornings and evenings are the best times to

find a rainbow—when the sun is lower in the

sky.

Iris was the Greek goddess of the rainbow.

In literature, a rainbow is often seen as a

symbol of hope, peace and harmony.

Legend says that there is a pot of gold at the

end of the rainbow, but it is impossible to

find it. Try it! Rainbows move when the per-

son seeing the rainbow moves.

A veces, una buena cita puede ayudarnos a guiarnos cuando las cosas pueden ser difíciles o no tan claras. La siguiente cita es de Franklin Delano Roosevelt, quien fue nuestro presi-dente durante la Gran Depresión y la Segunda Guerra Mundial, algunos de los momentos más difíciles de nuestro país. También sufrió de aspectos debilitantes de la polio que lo dejaron en silla de ruedas durante toda su Presidencia. Esta cita siempre me ha quedado grabada y me ha ayudado en ocasiones en mi propia vida. Ser presidente es un trabajo es-tresante, y mucho menos estar discapacitado y guiar al país en un momento difícil. Si quieres, deja que sea un ejemplo de prosper-idad en la vida a pesar de lo que te arroje.

Día Nacional de Encontrar un Arco Iris

Hemos tenido un clima perfecto esta semana para encontrar arcoiris.

Vea si puede encontrar uno hoy.

Hechos Los arcoiris se forman cuando la luz se dobla

y se refleja a través de gotas de agua o un

prisma.

Según Isaac Newton, un arco iris está hecho

de estos colores: rojo, naranja, amarillo,

verde, azul, índigo y violeta. ROY G BIV.

Las mañanas y las tardes son los mejores

momentos para encontrar un arco iris, cuan-

do el sol está más bajo en el cielo.

Iris era la diosa griega del arcoiris.

En la literatura, un arco iris a menudo se ve

como un símbolo de esperanza, paz y ar-

monía.

La leyenda dice que hay una olla de oro al

final del arco iris, pero es imposible encon-

trarla. ¡Intentalo! Los arcoiris se mueven cu-

ando la persona que lo ve se mueve.
