Medical Marihuana Facilities
Honorable City Council:
Council Member Tate has requested that the Law Department prepare an ordinance to amend
Chapter 20 of the 2019 Detroit City Code, Health, Article VI, Medical Marihuana Facilities, to
add regulations to allow adult-use marijuana establishments in accordance with the Michigan
Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act, MCL 333.27951, et seq. A copy of the ordinance,
which has been approved as to form, is attached for your consideration.
