To cook boil up in a crockpot use pre-trimmed meat. Put the potatoes and kumara on the bottom, place the meat on the top. Add some low salt stock, in enough water for amount of meat. Cook the boil up slowly throughout the day; when just about ready add the greens (watercress etc).

Alternatives
For a lower fat white sauce, eliminate the margarine. Instead, whisk flour and milk together, bring slowly to the boil and simmer until thick. Add flavour with salt and pepper, nutmeg and a little mustard.
