The ceiling height throughout the space remains twenty feet and within each nest the ceiling height is eight feet. However, the five small nests are on a fourteen inch raised platform. This allows a separation between personal and social space. Some of the nests in the social space are raised seven inches off the ground, to create some separation between social and public space. Although, there are some flush to the ground for ADA purposes. Repurposed cable reels are used for standing-height computers in the print + scan area. Inside each nest, the collapsable tables are adjustable to ada heights as well as standing height if desired. Each nest is outfitted with adjustable fixtures to provide custom lighting, depending on the use. Throughout the day, sensors detect natural day light and in response, dim the light fixtures to save energy.
