Join us for the first meeting of

Katie’s Team the patient and public advisory group for

women’s health research in East London

Friday 18th September 2015, 5-7pm at Queen Mary University of London, Whitechapel

What does Katie’s Team do? Katie’s Team is a group of patients and members

of the public with experience of childbirth,

pregnancy, or reproductive issues. The group will

give their views to researchers who wish to

improve treatment for mothers and unborn

babies.

Why “Katie”? Katie’s Team is part of the Katherine Twining

Network - a group of researchers in East London

and beyond who look into topics such as pre-

term birth, pre-eclampsia, bleeding in childbirth,

infertility, chronic pain, epilepsy in pregnancy and

more!

What will I get out of it? You get a say in research to benefit people like

yourself; meet people with similar experiences

and interests; expand your skills. We will also

reimburse your costs for attending, but the work

is voluntary.

Who can join, and how? We’re open to anyone with experience of these

topics – no medical knowledge required. We

particularly encourage people from Tower

Hamlets and surrounding London boroughs to

contact us. To register for this meeting and for

more information, please call 0207 882 5636 or

e-mail ktnetwork@qmul.ac.uk.
