Junior Achievement Foundation is a non-

governmental organization whose aim is to

prepare children and young people to live under

market economy conditions and to enable young

people to acquire knowledge and a practical skills

to facilitate the implementation of career plans.

The Foundation operates under the

Junior Achievement Worldwide – the

oldest and fastest growing worldwide

organization dedicated to economic

education of young people in 120

countries.

We execute our tasks in collaboration

with the business community, the

Ministry of Education, the PolishNational

Bank and Teacher Training Institutions.

We are members of:

Youth mini entrepreneurship

What Youth mini entrepreneurship is:

new, exciting program tested by 160 teachers and more than 3,500

students under the project implemented by Junior Achievement

Foundation, co-financed by the European Union under the European

Social Fund.

Implementation of the program without buying handbook.

All materials for students and teachers are available for free of charge

on the online platform of Practical Economics School – Youth mini

entrepreneurship.

The opportunity to participate in the National Competition on Best

Youth mini entrepreneurship "Produkcik", with the winners taking part

in the European finals Company of the Year Competition.

Youth mini entrepreneurship –

implementation of the program

Within the program students participate in educational

game "Youth mini entrepreneurship". The essence of the

game is to establish and operate real company in the

school - Youth mini-companies - organized along the

lines of a partnership

all participants are co-owners (shareholders)

of that company

number of members should be 6 - 15 people

the school can run several mini-enterprises

Youth mini entrepreneurship –

implementation of the program

students - mini-companies partners accumulate all

capital needed, draw up a business plan, conduct market

research, choose a product (or service) then organize

the production and sale. Keep financial records for small

businesses design documentation

specific policies are determined in the regulations of

youth mini-companies

Youth mini entrepreneurship –

implementation of the program

the proper execution of the programme is supervised

by a teacher - mini-companies guardian

parents council acts as a Tax Office and Social

Security Office (ZUS)

students register their mini-companies in the Junior

Achievement Foundation, which provides

organizational, substantive and methodological

ongoing care for students and teachers

Project aim is:

increase the effectiveness of

high school students

competencies, especially such

as sense of initiative and

entrepreneurship

designing innovative tools for

classes for the subject

Economics in practice.

The curriculum for the subject

Economics in practice for high

schools and technical schools

Pedagogical innovation

It combines school environment with

the business.

It prepares young people to continue

their education in the key importance

fields of the economy.

Materials for the programme:

1. The curriculum of „ Mini-companies„

to the economics in practice subject .

2. Teacher's guide - mini-companies guardian.

3. Vademecum for a student

2. The online platform and other

computer programs for mini-enterprises

managing.

Trainings

For teachers conducting that programme training

will be given. Forms of training:

three-day workshops - scheduled in the

second half of August,

or in a form of a e-learning

course – about 20 hours

that will take

approximately one month.

JA-YE Europe „Enterprise without Borders” expands the ‘Youth mini

entrepreneurship’ programme

The project brings together 12 of 225

Polish mini-enterprises

in a given school year

Company Managment

- ME Titan

Company managment ▲„Company management„ is a computer simulation of

economic processes, in which the students are divided

into teams - companies competing in the market a

fictional, exciting and innovative new product.

▲During the game, students take six decisions:

How much to produce, at what price to sell, how much

to spend on the product marketing, on the investment,

on research and development, and how much to charity.

▲The „Company managment" is carried out on the

basis of ME Titan computer simulation. The teacher who

applies for the program receives a free access to the

material on the site.

Company managment JA-YE Europe Virtual Business Challenge 2013

In May 2013, from 514 teams competing in the European finals Polish

students took:

First place: Team Grabias (Marek Kaput i Mateusz Zbylut)

from Tarnow,

Fourth place: Team Hedron (Michał Bąk i Paweł Panek)

from Tarnow.
