We look forward to seeing you in the social quarters. The VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH is Dan Condon. Where to start about what Dan does for this Post is hard. He has been a previous Commander, Adjutant, First Vice Commander, Second Vice Commander, Bingo Chair and has worn so many other hats they will not fit here. He handles every Bingo report due to the State Gaming Commission and is very active on the Executive committee. His support for this Post, veterans, and Legion programs has never faltered. He is one of the reasons I stayed with Post 364 when I first arrived. He has again volunteered to step up this year as Second Vice
May 2014 was a GREAT month! We had: Fight Night, Cinco de Mayo, Bingo Appreciation Night, McGuire Veterans Hospital Picnic, Memorial Day Quantico Ceremony followed by the Post Picnic and Ground Breaking Ceremony and lastly the Happy Days Theme Party. Please see some of the pictures on pages 6 to 8 to see what you missed or if you were captured at one of these events. I thank those that participated for their support and continued efforts for our Veterans and community. Please see the calendar for a list of events coming in June. Please welcome these NEW MEMBERS to our Post:

The 2015-2016 Installation will be held on the 20th of June.
On May 26, 2015 the Unit hosted a visit from Department Education Chairwoman, Marian Chirichella, who presented our Junior member Samantha Wangner with the Dr. Kate Waller Barrett Scholarship. This scholarship was awarded in part on Samantha’s essay on “Your Responsibilities as a Citizen of the United States”. Samantha plans to attend Longwood University in the fall. Congratulations to Samantha.

Thank you to all the members of our Legion family volunteers that attended our annual picnic at the McGuire VA Hospital in Richmond. We cooked hamburgers and hotdogs for over 300 patients and family members. This year we were able to deliver food to many units at the hospital where the patients were not able to join us on the pavilion. Please look at the wonderful pictures online or in this issue.
We had a wonderful turn out for the annual Memorial Day picnic. The attendance was the largest in recent memory. The day was highlighted by a groundbreaking ceremony to start the building of our new Post home.
Let me say that I really appreciate my 2014-2015 Unit officers. Thank you for a wonderful year.
Our 2015-2016 Unit officers are as follows:

FROM THE COMMANDER’S CORNER James Hawkins, Commander
On a more serious note: I want to get the Post back into the programs we are here to support and in order to do that I need people to volunteer. There are way too many VACANT CHAIRPERSON POSITIONS at this Legion. The Chairperson positions are a part time position to manage a specific function within the Legion. I have posted
… continued from page 2
the list of Chairpersons so that we can all see the current people providing that support and the vacant slots.
Bingo continues to be our main source of revenue for all supported charities and as such deservers our attention and participation. Our 2nd Vice Commander, Merle Bevenour,
needs your support in filling the vacant slots on the bingo team roster (see next to last page). I know there are many people out there that can support 3 hours of volunteerism a month to help keep our programs at full funding. PLEASE look deep into yourselves and see if you are one of those.
