Need to integrate data related to your systems, and to analyze and utilize the data from a variety of perspectives?
JP1/Integrated Management 2
With JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager, you can manage, in an integrated manner, the events occurring in your systems, along with various types of data and the relationships in the data.
This in turn allows you to utilize the data efficiently and to provide users with the data they need, when they need it.
JP1/Integrated Management 2 enables operators in different positionsand with different roles to easily check the data they need, withouthaving to be aware of factors such as the location of the data, theinterface used to obtain the data, or the configuration or relationality ofthe data. By selecting and executing suggestions that are based onaccumulated operational rules and knowledge when a failure occurs, you can make sure that failures are handled in a thorough manner. Thisallows you to decide on the right way to handle each failure as well asthe priority with which the failure should be handled from a business orservice perspective. You can also ensure that everyone involved in thehandling of the failure (regardless of their specific role) can ascertainstatuses and share information in a timely manner, thus achieving theintelligent integrated operation of your systems as a whole.
Put your data to work
This product helps you collect all of the information you mightneed when making business decisions, such as data on systemconfigurations, alert information, the status of business operations, the operating status of applications, and information about KPIsand costs. Based on expert knowledge, you can then define andgraphically display relationships in the collected data. Byaccumulating knowledge and expertise in the form of data,JP1/Integrated Management 2 helps you achieve systemoperations that do not rely on specific operators.

JP1/Integrated Management 2 obtains information about thecomponents that make up a system, and aggregates and displays,on a single screen, the statuses of these components and anyevents that cause the statuses to change. Colored icons allow youto identify the status of each component, making it possible tounderstand the health of the entire system at a glance.A sunburst chart allows you to gain an overall view of the statusesof components that make up a monitored system, and to easilycheck detailed information about components whose status is"Error" or "Warning".You can also switch to a tree view, which displays the componentsof systems in a hierarchal configuration. This allows you to checkthe statuses of components such as the business operations (jobs)that are running on hosts, as well as the relationships among suchcomponents.By selecting a component in either the sunburst chart or the treeview, you can filter the displayed events to show only thoseevents that are related to the selected component. This helps toprevent important events from being overlooked.
Based on the expert knowledge of engineers (such as the businesssystem administrator's knowledge of the relationships amongbusiness operations and the infrastructure administrator'sknowledge of the relationships among servers and applications),you can define, visualize, and accumulate information aboutrelationships among system components. By visualizing andaccumulating knowledge in this way, you can perform a variety oftasks without relying on a specific individual, such as anadministrator or engineer. This knowledge enables operators toperform the initial isolation of a failure, to check the scope ofimpact of the failure on mission-critical systems, and more. Forexample, you can utilize the accumulated knowledge to easily letall of the relevant parties know that a failure on physical server Aimpacts not only business operations A, but also businessoperations B and C. You can understand the scope of impact of aproblem even in an environment where different monitoring toolsare being used to monitor cloud systems and on-premises systems.

When a failure occurs, you can get suggestions on the best way tohandle it. These suggestions are tailored to the system status atthe time of the failure and are based on accumulated operationalrules and knowledge. By selecting and executing thesesuggestions, operators responsible for system maintenance canensure that failures are handled promptly and thoroughly.

Use on-screen guidance to expedite the initial responseMonitor the system efficiently, even during an event storm
You can monitor Windows event logs, UNIX syslogs, and thelogs of various applications in a single window. You can alsofilter the displayed information based on conditions such as thehost name or level of severity, to show only the information youneed. This helps you prevent important events from beingoverlooked, and improves the efficiency of monitoring operations.
Collect and monitor various logs generated in the systemYou can automate actions to be performed when an event isreceived, such as the sending of notifications or the acquisitionof logs. For example, you can specify settings so that thenecessary notifications are sent to all relevant parties at once.By using the GUI, you can also check the statuses and results ofautomated actions, and then re-execute, cancel, or temporarilysuspend a specific automated action as necessary.

Event management: Monitor the entire system from a single location to determine whether the system is problem-free
Monitoring of the operating status(by using a product such as
JP1/Performance Management or JP1/Operations Analytics)
JP1/Integrated Management 2 can detect changes in the operatingstatuses of environments where business operations are executed, and thereby help you to prevent failures that would interruptbusiness operations. In addition to checking the executionstatuses of business operations, you can check the usagestatuses of resources pertaining to the relevant infrastructurecomponents in order to identify issues such as insufficient diskspace, increased CPU usage rates, degraded networkperformance, and increased memory usage. This allows you toisolate potential causes of failures before a failure occurs, and toquickly and efficiently take preventive measures, such as changingthe operations to be executed or modifying the executionenvironment.

Various infrastructure-related reasons for the degraded execution performance
During an event storm (a large number of events occurring at thesame time), the events are aggregated in the display. This helpsensure that important events are handled, and preventsautomatic actions, such as the sending of email notifications, from being performed multiple times for duplicate events. Youcan also suppress the forwarding of events from a host to theintegrated manager, thereby minimizing the overall impact of anevent storm on your monitoring operations.
In the event of a failure, JP1/Integrated Management 2 displayspre-registered information about the people in charge ofinvestigating the failure (such as their names and contactinformation) and troubleshooting procedures. This enablesoperators to carry out the initial response quickly andappropriately. By using this on-screen guidance, you can savethe time and the effort it would otherwise take to find thenecessary information, and also ensure that all operators handlefailures in the same way.
