do the right thing, but it is difficult for him when Vaughan asks him not to close the beaches. He is very sad when the shark kills people. He is afraid of the water because he is a bad swimmer. He doesn’t want to go out in the boat and look for the shark, but he does this. He is a good man.
Hooper: He knows a lot about sharks and is very interested in them. He wants to go out in the boat with Quint because he wants to see the shark.
