Jacob Gade

Jacob Thune Hansen Gade (Vejle, Denmark, November 29, 1879–February 20, 1963) was a Danish violinist and composer, mostly of orchestral popular music.

Today he is remembered for a single tune, the familiar Tango Tzigane Jalousie, also known as Tango Jalousie[1], or simply Jalousie, premiered September 14, 1925. The tango, written to accompany a silent film when Gade was leader of the orchestra of the Palads Cinema,[2] was an instant international hit.
