• Temporary imbalance between fed-in and consumed active power increasing requirements regarding controlling energy (primary and secondary control, minutes reserve, P(f)-behavior)

• Voltage dependent loading power of the cables (Q = U2∗wC) - Example: 110-kV-VPE-cable (1000 mm2): Qc ≈ 1 MVAr / km

• Current dependent reactive power demand of the transformers (QL = 3∗I2 ∗wL) - Example: 380/110-kV-Transformer (Sr = 200 MVA, uk = 16 %) ⇒ QL ≈ 32 MVAr (I = Ir)
