TOO GOOD FOR DRUGS MIDDLE SCHOOL FACILITATOR TRAINING ThistrainingwillpreparefacilitatorstoimplementtheTooGoodforDrugs(TGFD)Programsuccessfully.TheTooGoodforDrugsProgramhasseparate,developmentallyappropriatecurriculumforgradesK-12;thefocusofthistrainingisonSAPP-approvedimplementationforgrades6-8.TGFDisaschool-basedpreventionprogramdesignedtoreducetheriskfactorsandenhancetheprotectivefactorsrelatedtoalcohol,tobacco,andotherdruguseamongstudents.Participantswillgainhands-onexperiencewiththecorecurriculumwhileacquiringessentialpreventioneducationteachingstrategies.Thetrainerwillfamiliarizeparticipantswiththeresearch,theory,andconceptsbehindtheprogramandprovideanopportunityforfacilitationpractice.
