Until 2030, the total mileage of expressway will

reach 4,000 km.

The built-in expressway extends about 2,401 km, with the average cost of 20 million

USD/km. The ratio for bridge and tunnel for ordinary roads is 50%. Its highest ratio is

86%.

Longest tunnel group: Chongqing-Hunan Province Expressway Horn tunnel group with the length of 24.76

km. Its bridge tunnel extends 23.77 km, accounting for 96% of the road section. It is basically linked by

bridges and tunnels. Thus, the 21 km mega tunnel group-Chongqing to Hunan Province Expressway Wujiang

River Bridge was constituted by 4 mega tunnels, 1 tunnel.
