Integrated permit for a new installation

Adjustment permit with an adjustment plan

for an existing installation

WHAT IS THE INTEGRATED PERMITTING WHAT IS THE INTEGRATED PERMITTING SYSTEM BASED ON?SYSTEM BASED ON?

Integrated approach, protection of the environment as a whole, avoiding transfer of pollution from one medium into another

BAT (Best Available Techniques) Pollution prevention rather than control

(wherever possible) Conditions are set up for each installation Local conditions are taken into consideration

WHAT IS THE INTEGRATED PERMITTING WHAT IS THE INTEGRATED PERMITTING SYSTEM BASED ON?SYSTEM BASED ON?

BAT (Best Available Techniques)

The most effective and advanced stage in the development of activities and their methods of operation which indicate the practical suitability of particular techniques for providing in principle the basis for emission limit values designed to prevent and, where that is not practicable, generally to reduce emissions and the impact on the environment as a whole:

INTEGRATED APPROACHINTEGRATED APPROACH

Control Ensures that the conditions of the Integrated permit are met

all the appropriate preventive measures are taken against pollution, in particular through application of the best available techniques;

No significant pollution is caused; The hierarchy of waste management is applied energy is used efficiently; the necessary measures are taken to prevent accidents and limit

their consequences; measures are taken upon definitive cessation to return the site

to a satisfactory state.

CONSTRAINSCONSTRAINS

Low capacity of the regulator Significant delay of some peaces of legislation (Law on

Waters) Lack of design documentation Insufficient data

Meteorology, hydrogeology, hydrography Unavailability of an appropriate hazardous waste landfill Unclear ownership Ambiguous limits of responsibilities The ELV regulation has not been.
