Brief Explanation's about Concept Façade Lighting

Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad was designed by A.C. Norman and built in 1894-1897 to house several important government departments during the British administration. The building has important heritage value as this is the place where the British flag was finally lowered in Kuala Lumpur's Merdeka Square in 1957, Tunku became the first prime minister of Malaya.

We believe, with the latest technology in LED lighting systems, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad will once again stand tall against the majestic looking of KLCC building. The new lighting look will fills with display of vibrant colors effects for a ―world class heritage site‖ that can be enjoyed by any citizens of the world. In order to achieve a highly energy efficient building and conservation requirements, we have design the new façade lighting with 95% using Light Emitting Diodes (LED) fixtures. Some of the key advantages of LED fixtures can be summarized as follows

1. Light Emitting Diodes (LED) contains solid-state technology made in Silicon Valley using similar technologies that are used in the latest microprocessors. These solid-state devices have no moving parts, no fragile glass environments, no mercury, no toxic gasses, and no filament. There is nothing to break, rupture, shatter, leak, or contaminate. Therefore, it more robust and can easily break or fail.

2. Very long lifespan of over 50,000 hours of operation. LED sources offer a significantly longer life span than conventional light sources. This means less replacement and maintenance cost. For instance, halogen lamps may have to be replace from 12 to 20 times before a comparable, properly designed LED must be replace once.

3. LED lighting can be five times more energy-efficient than incandescent and halogen sources, and comparable in efficacy to florescent. LED sources continue to improve and are quickly gaining on the energy efficiency of florescent tube.

4. LED color changing lighting are programmable and can produce millions of color or ranges of color without gels or filters. It can be controlled digitally for maximum efficiency and flexibility.
