What is Google Earth?
Google Earth is mapping software It allows you to look at the earth through
a variety of satellite images It is an application and needs to be
downloaded to your computer

Places The places panel displays your
current Google files that are open
My Places Temporary Places: This folder
includes places you have opened in your most recent sessions of Google Earth. You can drag files from your temporary places to My Places in order to save them permanently.
You can control which places are “Turned On” and “Turned Off” by checking the boxes
Sightseeing: Has many famous places preloaded that you can select
Layers
This panel allows you to customize your view by turning layers on and off. You can do this by checking or unchecking the box.
Expandable layers have a + sign that you can click for more detailed
options
