Introduction to Study Island

Training Objective:

Today we will go through the steps for using Study Island. I will show you how to locate class folders, assignments, discuss the differences in the session modes for completing assignments, and grading.

In order for an assignment to be complete, students much complete a minimum of 10 questions during their session.

**Caution: Game mode does count towards the overall score. ONLY play in game mode if your student has mastered the skill.

Where does the grade come from?

Grading for Study Island is cumulative. This means that all of the session attempts are averaged together to get one grade. To earn a blue ribbon, a cumulative score of 70% or higher must be earned.

Every session in practice and game mode is graded once it is started. To be considered complete, a minimum of 10 questions must be answered. **Caution: If you have several sessions with fewer than 10 questions answered, these do count.
