Chart of Accounts

•The Chart of Accounts is the numbering system used by Banner to capture financial transactions and facilitate retrieval of information and financial reporting. The Chart of Accounts is defined by the letter “M” for GCC.

•GCC’s chart of accounts structure is composed of five elements: Fund, Organization, Account, Program, and Activity (FOAPA).

NOTE: The department provides the FOAPA to

query into self service to which only limited to

department budget account. However, a Banner

Access Request Form must be filled out and turned

in to HR to allow access to Banner Self Service site.

- Click on “Submit Query”
