Updating System Firmware

System Update RequiredClick on the hyperlink in the red box to bring the whole system current. While you can update each component individually, This is the preferred method.

In this case, the motor is the only component requiring an update.

When you choose to update, a pop up will ask you to confirm. Click OK.

Press the upper right Press the upper right button on the console again to restart the system.

Successful Update! The green check lets us know that the system is on the current firmware and operating at the most current and optimum level.

Defining the System Parameters

Wheel Size and Kit AssignmentNow that we’re up to date, we can confirm the kit and wheel size info. This should only have to be done to each system once.

Why do we do this? So Why do we do this? So our speedo reads correctly and so we can Tune the System Power!

Click the Select Another Bike Model link.

Designate The SystemLocate the system you have in the list of systems provided.

In this case I am looking for a PL350 L 700c

Designate The SystemWhen you’ve located the system and selected it, you’ll get a bike icon with a link below it. Click the link to confirm your selection.

Disregard the date Disregard the date information. This will work on all CanBus systems.

Tuning The SystemWith the system defined, you now gain access to the tuning parameters. The first three are one-click presets.

Option 4 creates a Option 4 creates a custom profile.

Custom TuningWhat do these controls do?1) This adjusts how quickly the motor responds to input. Higher numbers are quicker response. Slower = smoother ride Faster = greater pulsing

2) Post-threshold sensor

3) Pre-Threshold sensor Amplification

4) Threshold speed. The system gives a strong assist up to this speed as defined by (3). Then the power drops for economy over this speed defined by (2). Max setting is 25kph. Think of this as the bikes minimum cruising speed.
