YERBAL ST. FAMILY APARTMENT (2013)

The objetive of this project was to renovate a 50 years old apartment and at thesame time we should be able to create new spaces to live in, but without thepossibility to build new rooms.

This project demands to renew from the kitchen to the bedroom and bathroom. Was necessary to replace all the sewage, gas and water pipes and replace themfor new ones. We installed a all new electrical system, from grounding kit to thegeneral board with breakers.

All the floors, the ceiling and the painting was done by my team including themetallic stairs and the metallic structure for each new floor according my designs.

According the client needs, I decided to generate a mezzanine in the bedroomsand the living room and open the attic which you can access from the mezzanineof the living room.

Once we did it, we could be able to duplicate the square meters in the apartmentgenerating more and new spaces for the owner.

The result was a new apartment, with more space, in just 2 month.

In this project the owners wanted to bring this apartment to the 21th century. That was to renew all the apartment, including the backyard and one of their concern was to have an small bath in the main bedroom that wasn’t exist at that time.

To accomplish the owner requirements and due that there was no space to create the toilette in the bedroom, I decided to break down the wall of the main bathroom and move it some centimeters. That allowed me to create the toilette in the main bedroom avoiding decreasing much space in the room generating a comfortable new toilette.

In the backyard I tried to create a “green relax place”. We built a wood deck and a concrete masseter with low ilummination. We filled the place with different types of plants adding some plants on the wall. We create a very quite place for them changing also the view of the main bedroom.

AVELLANEDA 872 - HALL (2013)

Buenos Aires, Argentina

In this case the idea was to renovate the hall of entrance of the building. When I did the survey of the place, I realized the small amount of natural and artificial light in it, and due to that, the entrance since to be an obscure cave. Also, the colors and texture of the walls, didn’t help to improve.

Because of that, mi intention was to generate, a bigger and brighter place with the help of better lights, reflective materials and bright color paintings.

As you can see in the renders I choose mirrors for the walls, to generate the sense of amplitude, a all new ceiling with more lights, using dichroic and LED lights, a white porcelain floor with a reflective finished and clear stone coating for one the walls describing the depth of the hall.
