What is IQ?

Intelligence quotient or “IQ” was created by Alfred Binet in 1908. IQ tests, shows your measure of intelligence and is always debatable. Your IQ is related to almost everything in your life. To clarify, your IQ doesn’t tell anything about your knowledge, but how you assess and use it.

Studies have shown that overtime your IQ does not change drastically. That means you IQ can change by only about a small number every year. Once you have an IQ, you must stay with that number.

IQ and Age

There are many things about your brain and body that can effect your IQ level. For example, the brain weight ratio to the body weight and size could effect it, as well as the shape of your frontal lobe. The amount of blood can also play a key role.

IQ and Brain Anatomy

Many researchers have done some experiments to decide whether IQ has to do with income. They found out that IQ could help you get a job or do a job, and another study says that they help 1/6 for income.

Income and IQ

Surprisingly, the IQ of people could determine whether or not they have a good chance at being a criminal. Studies show that people with IQ numbers 70-90 have better chance of being a criminal than a person with a different IQ.

Crime and IQ

Many people get confused, but IQ does not tell how smart you are. IQ only focuses on one specific part of intelligence, but not the whole range. So, just because Albert Einstein was a genius, does not mean he has a great IQ.
