INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR MP LAB AND C18 COMPILER

The Software required for the installation

1. MP_LAB_IDE_V8_70

2. C18

Let’s get started with the installation process of MP_LAB_SOFTWARE

1) Open MP_LAB_IDE_V8_70 folder

2) Run the setup named as ‘Run with Admin Priv.exe’ or the setup.exe

by Right clicking on it

3) Right click on and select Run as administrator

Wait till the install shield invoking completes and enters into setup.

4) Click on the NEXT to continue

5) Accept the agreement and Click NEXT

6) Select the option ‘COMPLETE’

7) Click on NEXT to continue

8) Click on NEXT or chose the drive to install the Software by clicking on

Browse

9) Accept the agreement and Click on NEXT

10) Click on NEXT to continue

11) Start the ‘copying files’ action by clicking NEXT

12) Confirm whether the ‘highlighted file’ is present by default and then

Click OK

13) Wait for the Installation to complete

14) Click YES if this dialogue box appears

15) After the completion of the installation it’s preferable to RESTART

your system

16) This following box would appear after the system Restarts

Simply close the box

C18 SOFTWARE

The second software to be installed after MP LAB is C18.

1) Open the C18 folder

2) To install the software, select the .exe file in C18 named MPLAB-C18-

Lite-v3_35.exe

3) The following are the steps within the setup which are to be followed

to accomplish our installation of C18 Compiler

4) Accept the License

5) Continue by clicking NEXT

6) Continue the installation by clicking NEXT

7) Make sure that all the “Check Box” are selected/ticked

8) Make sure that the three check boxes are selected before clicking

NEXT

9) Click on NEXT to continue the installation

10) Please wait till the installation completes

11) Make sure the “Check Box” are NOT selected

12) Click FINISH button. C18 software Installation completes here
