Former principals Steve Garrett, left, and Bill Beard volunteered to help distrib-ute water last week at the Estill County Fair Barn. At one time, 3,500 households served by Estill County Water District and IMU were without water. By Friday evening, service had been restored but a boil water advisory remained in effect until Tuesday morning. Residents still having water issues are asked to call their water company. Rain, flooding, sleet and snow are predicted for this week.
