Interdepartmental Centers for smart mobility CARS@PoliTO | Center for Automotive Research and Sustainable mobility
The center activity focuses on research in the field of Automotive Engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems, especially in five different areas of interest: Green Vehicles, Safe & Integrated Mobility, Affordability & Competitiveness, Urban Mobility and Logistics, New mobility solutions based on the concepts of sharing economy, in order to contribute to the social needs of traffic congestion, air and noise pollution, road safety, quality of public transport.
PEIC | Power Electronics Innovation Center The center provides efficient and reliable power conversion solutions at component level for strategic applications as Hybrid and Electrical Vehicles, Automotive, Infrastructures for electrical battery charging and More Electric Aircraft.
Automotive and
Mobility
Big Data and ICT SmartData@PoliTO | Big Data and Data Science Laboratory The center activity is focused on Big Data technologies, and Data Science approaches. It merges competences from different domains to build a well-recognized center where experts in Machine Learning algorithms, data modeling, management, and domain experts from various engineering disciplines work in a single space, facing both theoretical problems and helping companies toward applications.
Energy, Sustainability and Territory Preservation Ec-L | Energy Center Lab In the frame of Politecnico Energy Center Initiative (ECI), this multidisciplinary laboratory will bring together the required skills to develop models and scenarios for the new energy transition, with the aim to design more interconnected energy systems, and to foresee their behavior and impact on different spatial and temporal scales. The economic and environmental impact of the technologies and energy infrastructures used, and the role of the user in the management of energy flows will be an integral part of the activities carried out.
Advanced / Additive Manufacturing IAM@PoliTO | Integrated Additive Manufacturing The center has the aim of dealing with and overcoming the open challenges, in terms of machines, materials and applications, and of contributing, together with other industrial actors, in the development of new.
