• The takeover of a country or territory by a stronger nation with the intent of dominating the political, economic, and social life if the people of the nation.

Three examples of Imperialism• Despite the land being divided over Europe, tension began

arising as the competition arose for the African lands .

• Tension arose when all countries needed new markets and looked to Imperialism for the raw materials.

• Amounts of land owned buy Britain and France increased the rivals with Germany who acquired colonies late. (caused anger and conflict between Germany, Britain, and France over land.)
