• First time that an IFCC World Congress will be held in Africa

• Preference given to African speakers who are recognised internationally

• Symposia: Have received proposals for 35 symposia – only 24 will be selected (all self sponsored)

• Selected oral presentations from young investigators from developing nations

• Unaffordable registration fees for majority of African delegates
