Each of Hospital Innovations’ human allograft products provide a guaranteed Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10-6, the same as that for medical devices. This means that no more than a single viable particle in 1 million units could potentially be compromised, providing exceptional product reliability[1].
This level of sterility is achieved via a patented cleaning and disinfection process called Allowash XG®. This process removes more than 99% of bone marrow and blood elements from the bone matrix, rendering it sterile[1]. Allowash
XG® follows a six stage process to ensure bioimplant safety without compromising the biomechanical or biochemical properties of the tissue[2].
Hospital Innovations is the largest independent private Human Tissue Bank in the UK, fully licensed and regulated by the Human Tissue Authority. Available as both mineralised and demineralised, our cortical and cancellous allografts provide an osteoconductive scaffold for bone ingrowth and rapid remodelling with the patient’s own bone.
Products are available in a range of sizes in either cube or particulate formulation to accommodate an array of dental procedures.

Demineralisation Process
Optium® DBM. Setting the Standard for DBM Performance. Optium® DBM has both osteoconductive and osteoinductive properties that provide a natural architecture with increased surface area to encourage cellular attachment[3].
A ready to use product with consistent handling properties, Optium® DBM is available in putty or gel formations and has proven clinical results for any bone filling application[3].
Demineralisation is achieved when the residual calcium level is below 8%. However, the PAD™ demineralisation process is able to consistently target a 1-4% residual calcium range, which studies have shown provides the most osteoconductive potential[4]. The PAD™ process also eliminates both over and under demineralisation, which can have a detrimental effect on osteoconductive potential and performance.

Synthetic Grafting
NanoBone®. The Synthetic Bone Grafting Alternative.
NanoBone® is a synthetic bone grafting material that is ready to use with no preparation time and available in granulate, block and putty variations. Its nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite nanostructure enhances angiogenesis, thus allowing for rapid bone formation in as little as 3 months[5]. This structure improves porosity, providing an increased surface area when compared to a bovine equivalent. As blood populates the porous nanostructure, NanoBone® is recognised as a material familiar to the body, preventing an immunological response. It also permits for complete remodelling and resorption due to its osteoclastic characteristics. This allows NanoBone® to be completely remodelled and replaced with bone[6].

HYALOSS® Matrix. Bioactive Hyaluronic Acid Matrix.
HYALOSS® Matrix provides a gradual release of pure hyaluronic acid (HA) which promotes the activation and stimulation of fibroblasts and endothelial cells. This helps to boost the physiological regeneration of natural, highly vascularised tissue[7].When hydrated, it forms a gel like substance which improves both the handling and retention of a bone graft at the defected site without compromising the osseous regeneration potential of the graft[7].Intended as an adjunct of the grafting process, HYALOSS® Matrix can be used as part of any regenerative therapy.
• Promotes bone graft application• Easy handling• Conforms to any defect type• Biocompatible and naturally absorbed• Natural, non-animal sourced
Hyaluronic Acid Carrier
The HYALOSS® Matrix Advantage
• Mix fibres with sterile saline solution or patients own blood to form a gel
• Mix the gel with bone particulate such as our OraGRAFT® allograft (pg. 5) or NanoBone® synthetic (pg. 7) to create a paste
• Apply to the defected area

How to Use
Figure 4. Case Study of Missing Lateral Incisor Implant Surgery Using OrAGRAFT® and OrACELL® [8]
Decellularised Dermis
OrACELL®. A High Performance Acellular Dermal Matrix.
Case Study
Four weeks after implantation
A surgery performed for implant placement at the sites of congenitally missing lateral incisors. A combination of OraGraft® mineralised cortical particulate and OrACELL® decellularised dermis were placed on the labial to correct the thin bone support and to increase the soft tissue profile in these areas.
OrACELL® is a superior allograft dermis which is ready to use off the shelf, requiring no surgical preparation time. Its efficient handling properties, pull out strength and load to failure make OrACELL® ideal for dental applications.
Through the use of MATRACELL™ technology, more than 97% of DNA from the dermal matrix is removed[8]. This renders the dermis acellular without compromising the biological or biomechanical properties of the tissue.
Hospital Innovations’ acellular dermal matrix is intended for use in conjunction with bone regeneration and oral soft tissue correction procedures.
