The IALF

If you are planning to study in Australia, UK, New Zealand, Europe, USA, Canada, Malaysiaor Singapore, or are planning to migrateto English-speaking countries, you will probablyneed to include an IELTS (Interna�onal EnglishLanguage Tes�ng System) test score with yourapplica�on.

The IELTS Test is in four parts:

• Listening (30 minutes) • Reading (60 minutes) • Wri�ng (60 minutes) • Speaking (11 - 14 minutes)

The instructors on IELTS Prepara�on courses arena�ve speaker teachers from Australia, the UnitedKingdom, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.

All IALF teachers have recognised postgraduate qualifica�ons in Teaching English to Speakers of OtherLanguages and several years experience in preparingIndonesian students for the IELTS test.

The IALF has a large student resource centre with18 computers for accessing digi�sed audio and videomaterials and 4 mul�-media computers with Englishlanguage learning so�ware. Resources include a largecollec�on of the most up-to-date IELTS prac�cematerials, as well as over 700 �tles for prac�cing Listening, Reading, Wri�ng and Speaking.

There is a 16-booth computerised language laboratory,a 20-booth computer laboratory, cable television andwifi.

The Resource Centre is open to IALF students: • Monday to Friday 07.00 - 19.00 • Saturday 08.00 - 14.00

IALF Jakarta is one of the largest IELTS test centres in Indonesia. The test centre is centrally located ina state of the art, modern building in Jalan RasunaSaid and regular off-site tests are held in KelapaGading, Pluit, Kebon Jeruk and Alam Sutera.

The IALF also has IELTS test centres in Surabaya and Denpasar and conducts tes�ng in places throughout Indonesia such as Depok, Bogor, Yogyakarta, Malang, Makassar, Kupang, Jayapura, Dili (Timor Leste), Kampung Inggris Pare (Kediri), Palembang, Padang, Jambi, Pekanbaru, Pon�anak, Batam and Lampung.

The IALF has more than twenty five years experiencein preparing students for the IELTS test. In 2017 morethan 1,800 students a�ended IELTS Prepara�on courses at IALF Jakarta.

The minimum entry level for the course is Pre-Intermediate 3 on the IALF Placement Test.
