• Site Size: 7.5 acres

• Organization History: Multiple buildings. Constructed 1924 - 1967

• Status: Closed in 1976. Last operated as a high school.

• Core Classrooms: +/- 33 (existing)

• Student Capacity +/- 825 @ 25 students per classroom (current)

• Core Classrooms: +/- 55 (proposed)

• Student Capacity: +/- 1,375 @ 25 students per classroom (proposed)

• Approximate Size: +/- 121,000 sf (existing)

• Tentative Schedule: June 2018 – June 2020

Project Outline

• Rehabilitation and renovation of the existing historic buildings to accommodate current middle school occupancy and function

• Construction of a historically sensitive addition

• Construction of a complementary new classroom / support space building

• Renovated and new classrooms, instructional support spaces and common spaces should be designed to house a population of +/- 1,375 students

• New doors, windows, roof, coping and exterior skin, including removal of the existing brick veneer

• New identity of main / public entry and bus / carpool entry

• Improved pedestrian access and flow with comprehensive ADA accessibility

• New visitor and staff parking and bus and carpool areas

• New kitchen, cafeteria and service areas

• Attention to security through environmental design

• New monument signage, exterior signage and exterior lighting

• Controlled security and access to building and main office

• New HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems

• New low voltage, data, voice, video, life safety and security systems

• New landscape, hardscape, parking and drives, fencing and gates

• New athletic field and support structures
