How to Update a CV/Document Link on Faculty Profile:

1. Upload PDF to dotCMS a. Upload document (or multiple) from your desktop into the “/documents” or “/PDFs” folder for

your department/office. Select “File Asset” when prompted, then upload document.

*if updating old CV or existing document, please “unpublish” and “archive” previous

document by right-clicking on the document.

b. Click “Save and Publish” once document is uploaded. (If not published, link will be broken, aka the infamous 404 hockey player. Click “Save and Publish” on all documents and images.) Once published, you will be brought back to your department/offices’ “/documents” folder.

c. Once in “documents folder,” double-click again on the file you just uploaded.

d. Right click and copy link below document file name.

e. Once copied, select “Cancel” (right below “Lock for Editing” selection) to be taken back to admin screen.

f. Navigate to “/People” folder.

g. Double-click on “faculty.html” page (the page that the link is on).

h. Select “lock for editing”

i. Select “Edit Content” of faculty’s container of which you want to edit/container on page where link is located:

j. Highlight link you want to update:

k. Select “Remove Link”

l. With text still highlighted, select “Insert/edit link”

m. Paste in link Url you copied when you uploaded the file, and click “Ok”

n. Save and Publish (automatically releases lock)
